One of the co-founders of erstwhile Moldex Composites, he has a wealth of experience in the design and production of composites gained from a 40 years plus career mainly in Motorsports, Racing and Composites companies. Having held a number of positions from Technician to Chief Engineer, at Rockman Advanced Composites Ian Thomson is responsible for Manufacturing, Material selection and production processes. He has worked with Williams GP Eng, Ferrari F1, Sauber/Mercedes-Benz, Sauber Motorsport, Prost GP, Asiatech, Renault F1, Super Aguri F1, Peugeot Sport, Composite companies like Comtec, DTC, Retrac Composites and the world leading automotive consultants Dallara Automobili.
